Writer in Residence

New year. New blog.  This one focuses on my experience as writer in residence--and the lives of others as writers in residence. While serving as writer in residence for organizations like The Island Institute in Sitka, Alaska, and Hedgebook in Langley, Washington, I became aware that the occupation suited me--and seemed to also fit those before and after me who also wore the badge of honor as WIR perfectly. Therefore I dedicate my blog to writers in residence, wherever they are. No matter where we travel, or whether we stay home, the writer is resident in us.  For writers, wherever we go, there we are--writing!
